Hi everyone welcome back to my blog! Today I will talk about creating a flipped videos.
For this week, our task was creating a 3-4 minutes vocabulary flipped classroom video after choosing a theme from the given coursebooks. We were also asked to prepare a quiz that goes with the video to help the students practice the words in the video.
In the flipped classroom approach, traditionally what happens in the classroom is moved outside of it, and the homework that is given to be done at home is completed in the course duration.
It has a lot of advantages for the learners. It encourages autonomous learners, also students can choose the time that they want to listen the lesson and they can watch the parts that they don’t understand again and again. But there can be drawbacks of flipping a class as well. Technological issues are one of them, it can be difficult for teachers to follow that every student prepares for the class too.
I think one day I can use this approach since it provides efficient use of the time in the classroom.
I prepared this video with my friend Meryem. First, we chose a theme, then I prepared the video on canva I preferred to use this tool since I am used to it now 😊. Meryem wrote down the lines that we will use in the video and then we recorded our voices it was an actually very fun process.
Here is a word search puzzle to practice the words.
